2023 Luxuria Pinot Noir - Futures

From lower elevations and deeper soils in our Pinot Noir vineyard, Luxuria bears the deep, dark, and opulent voice of Antiquum Farm. Firmly earth-rooted, its structure is a rich foundation expressing unparalleled power and depth. The 2023 Luxuria Pinot Noir rolls out the bearskin rug and lights a fire with opulent notes of orchid, bramble, leather, and clove. Midnight tones of dark chocolate and black currant are highlighted by a bright glimmer of blood orange and pomelo. 

Hand-picked amid cricket chirps and bats in flight during the earliest days of the 2023 harvest, the grapes from the beating heart of our Pinot Noir vineyard build the deep brooding soul of Luxuria. After a four-day cold soak, wild yeasts began spontaneous fermentation. A mix of daily punch downs and gentle pump-overs teased out the deep bass note of Luxuria. You may hear Barry White trying to steal your girlfriend if you listen closely. The wine was pressed after fermentation was complete and aged on lees in 500 and 228-liter, French Oak barrels (35% new) for ten months.
